Just whipped this up to help me do some GMap icons. It's a simple
10x10 grid of 64x64 px squares which is the maximum icon size for
GMaps. Make sure you slice inside the lines. Let me know if this is

This is great, Andrew, thanks for sharing!
I think I will create a page on the group site (ie
http://groups.google.com/group/googlelocalgov) to list useful links
and examples like this. If anyone has any others, please let us know!

Thanks Dave!
I always like fiddling with graphic bits as it takes me back to a
previous life when I was a would-be designer! I'm thinking about
running up some LG specific icon sets but I can't for the life of me
think what kind of things we would like to signify?

It's a quick way of layoung out a workspace in something like
Photoshop or Gimp to create an icon set for Google Maps. GMaps is
restricted to max icon size of 64x64 pixels and this gives you spaces
to draw in, ensuring you don't go over this limit. It also lets you
easily see all the icons you've drawn in one space and lets you slice
the whole kaboodle up for exporting.
