Salsa Tamil

Hello everyone!

I am starting a new project, which is a companion Tamil Typeface to Salsa.

Today I have started drawing a couple of characters (very rough, attaching screenshot)

In the next week I plan to finish roughly drawing all the vowels and consonants.

All feedback or suggestions from everybody is most welcome!

Hello Again!

Apologies for being inactive for a while.

Today I am posting all the work that I have done during the last few days, which is making all base characters.(attaching screenshot)

-By today I am going to refine all the characters and fix spacing.

-Tomorrow I am going to draw all the matras (tmAA, tmI, tmII, tmU, tmUU, tmE, tmEE, tmO, tmOO, tmAU and tmVirama)

I really like the style of the font. Tamil gets a nice flow with this design.

Hi Manushi —

What a nice project. The shape of the vertical strokes provides nice continuity between the Tamil and the Latin. Looks like it would be comfortable to read in smaller sizes. I appreciate the heft of the Tamil.

Hi Manushi,

I got a zip from Dave, but your features aren't working, so you might want to fix it first. You need to add the tamil language declaration at the top. Here's some feedback that I've compiled! Hope it helps!
