Please let me know if you can meet up this Wednesday morning (6:30am at the Civic Center) to help kick off Google day by passing out stickers and handouts throughout Evanston.

I would like to get a head count so I can prepare materials and figure out how many people to have at each location.

Thank you to everyone who helped put up flyers! Please let me know if anyone else is interested in helping with that effort.

I’ve attached the flyer and a handout format that should be printed on both sides and cut into 4s. Feel free to ask me for any materials.

Thanks

Andrea

Count me in! May I request the Central Street Metra stop for my
distribution point?

I will not be able to make the meeting tonight. While I am admittedly at a disadvantage in the technology arena, I am pretty good at marketing. To me, tomorrow is a marketing challenge: what is our core message, how can we communicate it in 10 seconds or less, and how can we make it "stick" with people who hear it?
My input is I'd like to see a common, approved message that we impart. I wonder which statement is more compelling to residents: the pursuit of "higher-speed internet", or the pursuit of "an alternative to the cable and telco internet providers". Or perhaps someone else has an even more compelling message.

We're not selling Google, we're presenting the opportunity to explore a better way to access the internet. We are competing for that opportunity with other communities. And, as far as I know, there will be no taxpayer dollars spent in the process.

Anyway, that's my input: come up with a core message and a quick way to say it so it will stick (i.e. cause action).

Good luck and thanks for "listening"!
