Check out video on how the City of Evanston would use Google’s high speed network.  We will have videos from Northwestern, Evanston Township High School, District 65 and Evanston Hospital as well at press conference tomorrow.

Ditto. Way to go everyone!

We accomplished our goal to create a unique and dynamic collaboration between the City of Evanston, Northwestern, K-12, local businesses, etc., to help differentiate our Google Application.

When Evanston secures world-class broadband, we will become a global hub of innovation and entrepreneurship! Thanks to everyone for all your great efforts. It's been a pleasure working with everyone. Special thanks for Wally and Andrea for your coordination and initiative to move this forward.

To All,

Today's presentation was crisp and clear, leaving no doubts about the slow-speed problems, the high-speed solutions, and most importantly about the immediate and future growth prospects within Evanston.

I trust that City staff is well on its way to producing a response to the RFI that hits these same chords, placing our best feet forward in selling the selection of Evanston.

We may know who we are and what we represent, but the key is to influence Google to be a part of it.  We ought to be inviting Google to be part of our community.

Regardless of the outcome, our goals remain the same, and I thank staff for this effort.

As a long-time resident and newer small business owner in our great City, I pledge to offer my help in making Evanston the most livable community in America.

Carl Bova

Here's hoping it pays off!
