I hope I'm not being super dense here but where are the docs for
"google calendar" for specifying appointment dates, repetitions,
reminders, alarms etc? Are there any such cheat sheets / easy to to
read examples or must one work through the programming APIs?

regards

Dense would be if you gave up on GoogleCL because of a problem without asking about it first :)

The answer: Depends on the task. The "add" task follows quick-add text rules: http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=36604#text
Setting reminders is done with the --reminder option.
Dates of events to retrieve from the server (for listing, deleting, etc.) uses the --date option

In general, if you're having trouble with the usage, check the following docs:

For example, the manual has a section on Calendar, and at the end, a section on how to use --date.

If anything is unclear or confusing, just let the mailing list know, and we'll clear it up or fix the docs.

Hi Tom,

I found no update info about the options you can use in googlecl & calendar:

I had to try and try again till I found the wonderful utilities you can use with this nice piece of software!

To create an appointment simple in the command line: google calendar add "This is an appointment"
To create an appointment on a date without time: google calendar add "This is an appointment " --date 2014-10-10
To create an appoinment on today with time: google calendar add "This is an appointment  10:30am"
To create an appointment on October 10th with time: google calendar add "This is an appointment 2014-10-10 11:21pm"
To create an appointment on a date with time to time: google calendar add "This is an appointment 2014-10-11 3:33pm-8:21pm"

I found here and there other utilities, like google calendar list --fields title, when, where, content

Two questions:
1/ Where I can find more precise info about all the the options?
2/ If I have a csv file to upload directly to the google calendar, how I can do it with google cl?

Thanks
Georges
