We don't have an official evaluation for our session. We'd like to
hear from you.

What feedback to you have for our sessions?

This was a great day. So much to learn. So little time. You have to
present to administrators and school board members. Please! Soon!

I'm overwhelmed...but I'm also very excited! I've learned so much
today! Thank you for everything...I have so many great ideas to take
back to school, for myself AND for the other teachers at my school.

Wonderful day!!

All 4 sessions introduced exciting new technology and the presenters
were very professional. The material was engaging, inspiring, &
fast. Many of us diligently followed as we downloaded took notes via
wireless (mostly). Other folks who were less familiar with Google
docs took notes and seemed jazzed to get more involved with the tools
they saw presented (ie., customizing iGoogle or downloading/
manupulating Google Earth).

Specifically, [excuse my familiarity - i barely got first names]
Kathleen's humble approach worked very well -- her playful technical
knowledge invited us to customize our new iGoogle environments which
was super cool. Others around us were playing with the development of
technology as we created new homepages. she warmed us up quickly and
continued to be an excellent mistress of ceremonies. cheers!

Kyle's more serious style rocked me with important topics & tools. I
recently noted in grad school that many adults can't distiguish
between reputable sources & "showy" sites - thanks for the tools to
teach that distinction! Also, "what it means to be digital citizens"
is an important concept that needs to be discussed in all our High
Schools; understanding how to be a responsible member of an e-
commmunity will benefit them once they attend college. As we teach
"how to do research" in our senior seminars, we need to describe HOW
to evaluate the validity/releavance of a web sites (whether by
historical notation or otherwise). <-very fine resources! I will be
proposing a class on Communication & Digital citizenship at Woodside...
(I'm also curious how much of this is admin driven and may be covered
in a school's mission statement).

Jerome's Earth paths delighted me as an "Okie" transplant to follow
the Joads' trip (he might track OKC heat waves & remind his students
about the temperatures in OK while they were travelling with a dead
relative in the car!) Getting students to "feel a roadtrip" is an
excellent idea that may ensure they complete assigned reading (do I
sound like a distraught Eng teacher?). The Lit trip site looks very
intuitive; I've sent it to our dept to explore. I have ideas about
creating something for Cisnero's _House on Mango St_ exploring the
neighborhoods of Chicago and B. Kingsolver's _Bean Trees_ trek to AZ
through the Cherokee nation.

Cheryl's mastery of her topic was impressive and inspiring. Many of
the candidates (specifically Obhama) are trying to appeal to the the
new (18+ yr olds) net gen -- what an exciting time to get datafeeds &
track this historical election using cool spreadsheets ...utilizing
tools like this may be the ticket to get the 'net gen' interested in
the workings of our crazy electoral colleges. It made me want to take
her class!

Suggesting folks download particular "stuff" prior to the
presentations is my biggest suggestion.

Soooo much information! I'm excited to absorb as much as I can and
take it back to share with my colleagues. I enjoyed all of your
presentations; Kyle's seemed to go so fast and be full of so much new
information. This was, by far, the most informative and useful group
of presentations I attended all weekend long. Thanks again to all of
you.
