Mxit on Gtalk

this is my 1st time on Gtalk (still a virgin) so take it easy on me...
my problem is as follows :
I got Mxit on my phone, works great, then i found out that you can use
Gtalk on your pc to chat with your friends on Mxit. i followed the
steps as to how to add them on my Gtalk contact list, invited them,
great, but this is where the problem starts. I invited numarous
people, only some of them got the invite and most of them is still
waiting for the invite. i then tested it on my phone, i invited myself
from Gtalk, waited a half an our before i got the invite, then i
accepted the invite on mxit on my phone, and it showed that my Gtalk
is offline and on Gtalk it showed that my mxit is offline, even though
i am not. if i send a message from mxit to Gtalk it goes through
straight away (but Gtalk still shows offline) and when sending a
message from Gtalk to mxit, nothing happens, i then restarted my pc
and restarted mxit, then i showed for a short while that i am online
in Gtalk, but no messegas was delivered... my mxit is working fine,
the only problem is Gtalk, it seems it is not connecting to my mxit
invites, and no messegas from Gtalk is going through....
please help as i think Gtalk is a great way of communicating with
friends, and not spending hours on my phone,,,
