"define: something" with the googleAPI query

has anybody tried to use the API with query term the define:thing?

when i try to call it through java does nothing and returns no results
at all.. whereas when I put other query terms it works fine.

any suggestions?

The Google search API does not support 'define'.

There may be other APIs out there that would do this, but I can't think
of any offhand.
