Hi,
I was using google map last month (January 08) to map out my route
from NYC to Toronto. So it gave me a map through Buffalo. Then i
wanted to see how the weather would be like if i traveled through that
road, because roads in Buffalo (from NYC to TO) in January is pretty
bad. So then it hit me that there should be feature in google maps
that gives the weather. So this is what i suggest for adding on to
google maps:

1) There should be an additional feature called "weather" that gives
real time and maybe 24 hr forecast.
2) It's up to the designers and developers how it should look. I think
it would be very easy to use if, only by taking the cursor on the map
it would give out the current weather and 24hr forecast in a small
pop-up window or a tooltip.
3) Thus, If i took my cursor on a particular area (ie port union/
lawrence in Toronto) it would basically give me the most available
weather of that region (i don't think this would be a difficult
feature to add on to the google maps).

Outcome:
I believe this would be a very popular feature for google maps since
most people who are traveling and use google maps, also look up the
weather before heading out. Thus by implementing this feature, users
don't have to open up another window and look up the weather for the
area they are going to.

Hope to get some feedback on this topic.

Regards

Sadat
