requesting sub-folders in bookmarks

I was thrilled when Google added bookmarks to their toolbar. I have
had large libraries of bookmarks/'favourites' come and go over the
years, constantly being lost with computer switches. Many, many
thanks!

Like others before me, I would very much prefer to be able to have sub-
folders in my Google bookmarks. Might this please be possible? I
recognise that tags are a fundamentally different idea than folders,
and have value - but, speaking from the user's point of view, being
able to better organize clusters of related ideas would be a godsend.
It's really all that is holding me back from using the bookmark
feature more extensively.
