In the options of the deskbar you can add a customised search
ie. you can add a website that ends like this q={1}.

Fair enough, I made a sitesearch one for my blog homepage based on:
blogurl:http://libraryclips.blogsome.com
Here is the URL:
http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=blogurl%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Flibraryclips.blogsome.com&btnG=Search+Blogs
...but all this does is bring up this page above.
What I want to do is enter a search term, then select my blog site page
at Google Blog search in the deskbar...this way the results for that
search term will just come from my blog
