domino-rest | pulling in com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-annotations:2.16.0 ?

I'm suddenly getting a jackson annotation set that is too new for gwt 2.12 to be able to compile in my dependency chain?

Am I missing something? Or have something extra?

I've finally got it to compile without trying to implement anything yet by:

Is this an elemental issue, do I need to pin that to particular version?
