Hi,

is it possible to use JMeter for testing a GWT powered web site? Or do
you recommend other better tools for this mission?

Need both verifying the functionality and gathering some performance
metrics.

I have written an application in GWT for my company and able to test it using JMeter.

You can use badboy or any other tool to record the test cases and play as it is to test with JMeter.

JMeter has a configuration element name HTTPProxy, he can register web
scenario and play it again with specific load parameters.
I have not yet tested JMeter + GWT.
Keep me posted if you succeed in this load test.

The answer depends on what you want to test. If you only want to test
the rpc time or the page load time, may be Jmeter can help you.

But if you want to do test to simulate the end user, I suggest you use
selenium.
We use it to do UI regression test.

Rohit
