CheckBox valuechangehandler inside a FocusPanel with clickhandler

I'm wrapping a HTMLPanel inside a FocusPanel so I can add a clickhandler to the entire panel to show a popup. Inside the FocusPanel I have a CheckBox and the problem I have is that when I click on the check box (ValueChangeEvent) I don't want the clickhandler on the FocusPanel to trigger. Is it possible to filter out which widget is clicked from the event and check if it's the checkbox?
