instantiations since the purchase by google :-(.
Hallo google !?!?
How can I do?
Do you plan to put it again online ?

I have the same problem. Can the old version at least be made
available?

GWT Designer, along with the other Instantiations products, is
currently being Googlized (legal, branding, etc.) and will be
available again in the future. We will make an announcement on the
Google Web Toolkit Blog when we have more information to provide.

All paid, registered users were sent an email last week containing
information on how to contact Google's GWT Designer support and how to
get access to the GWT Designer product itself. If you missed that
email or it was grabbed by your spam filter, you can send a request to
dev-too...@google.com (make sure to include your GWT Designer
serial number). The product is not currently available for eval or
purchase, but we are working hard to make it available again in the
future.

The email address "dev-tools-sa...@google.com" is not valid.
What is the actual email address to use?
Regards...

What I did was check the original message I got when I purchased a
license. There was an email address of an individual there to contact
if there were any questions.

He was out of town but someone there got back to me right away with a
way to download the product.

Does Google plan to implement UiBinder support on GWT Designer?

It wasn't on the Instantiations roadmap (AFAIK)

Very much looking forward to seeing a Googlised GWT Designer and
seeing some real competition against proprietary development
environments. From a technology perspective this is a great platform
to develop against - having more mature tooling and documentation will
go a long way towards attracting new developers imo.

Yes. We announced that we were planning to support UiBinder in the GWT
Designer user forum quite awhile ago.

textBox widget error:

I'm run into problem with textBox in the new GWT StockWatcher tutorial
using GWT 2.1.M3 on Ubuntu 10.4, Eclipse 3.6. textBox widget can't be
added to Horizontal Panel or any panel. Other widgets (label,
button...) and panels are working fine.

Can you please verify the error.

Thank you,
Jim

We were not able to reproduce this using either GWT/Java or UiBinder.

Please post a test case project to our GWT Designer support forum that
we can take a look at.

We are enjoying the same problem (GWT 2.1.ME, Ubuntu 10.4 ...).
1 Step: Create a new Projekt using the "g*" new Web Project Icon on
Eclipse.
2 Step: go to client package and create new "GWT uibinder composite".
3 Step: open design tab and try to click the widgets selection ...
everything can be enabled (keeps being pressed) ... except "TextBox"

If you edit the XML and add TextBox this way "<g:TextBox
ui:field='info'></g:TextBox>" -> and then open the Designer this error
is produced:

"WindowBuilder was not able to show th GUI.
Unable to load *.wbp-component.xml Description.

If you are using "ui:field", you need to be using a newer build of GWT
than 2.1M3 for this to work.

You can create your own GWT build using the latest code in the GWT
repository or wait for then next GWT update.

I see this for all subclasses of TextBoxBase (TextBox,
PasswordTextBox, TextArea) , on Fedora Linux 13 x86, eclipse 3.6, GWT
2.1.0M3; and, like 'umemy' noted, manually adding the components to
the java file results in an exception because of not finding *.wbp-
component.xml.
