I cannot find any sample of an object that would be modified server-side (say - a counter), with changes automatically fired up to the client (for display).
Which kind of event should I register to?

EntityProxyChange events are only fired in response to a RequestFactory request (just before the Receivers are called back); and the RequestFactoryServlet only "generates" such events for proxies it has seen either those sent by the client, or those it'll send to it.
