Automatic dev mode recompile gets disabled after a full compile is complete (for deploys). Usually restarting the server enables it again. Is there a way to always have automatic recompile enabled or manually enable it without restarting the server?

Using Eclipse and GWT 2.8.2.

Refreshing the page of the web browser runs recompiling without server restart

It does until I do a full compile, then it stops recognizing changes and therefore no recompile.

Could it be a caching issue of the *.nocache.js file in your browser? Does a force-reload fixes it? (it might also be a caching issue in your server BTW)
Which version of GWT are you using? And how are you running GWT? (both compilation and dev mode)

I guess you're right about it being a cache issue but I can't make out what it could be. Force reload from the web browser does not fix it. I'm running GWT 2.8.2 and AppEngine (Google Cloud) as plugins to Eclipse 2020-09 for development.
