RPC call succeeded after renaming the DTO!

Dear All,

I was trying to make an RPC call and it was failing with IncompatibleRemoteServiceException

After removing the arraylists present in the return type DTO, the error changed to "Invalid type signature" exception. After hours together of debugging, renaming the DTO made RPC to succeed.

Could some one comment on the reason behind the behavior!
