I seem to be unable to download and install the GWT developer plugin for IE.
I haven`t tried this in a long time for IE though so I might be missing something pretty basic, but maybe not.

Here goes:

I am running a Win7 IE 9
The missing plugin site suggests this url:

This looks kinda weird and ends up in an HTTP 404, while other urls (FF) seem to work just fine: https://dl-ssl.google.com/gwt/plugins/firefox/gwt-dev-plugin.xpi

I just retried with a colleague unable to download the plugin, so is this just us or is there someting wrong?

just found this one from Thomas: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10799647/cant-find-gwt-devmode-plugin-for-ie9

should we open an issue to track this down and get rid of it?

Just before I left Google, I remember something changing about how signed Windows executables were handled.  I don't remember exactly what it was and no longer have that email, but may Brian or Ray can check on it.

The Windows installer is quite different than the others, since the browser doesn't handle the auto updates, so the installer has to take care of that.

I took another look at the situation and we are actually missing the plugin for IE from google servers (its just not there, retried from home just getting 404)
There is nothing I can do about it, but we need to make sure that our dev plugins are actually installable. Can someone from google pick this up and possibly reupload the plugin(s) to your servers?
