to Google Waves - your wave
Google wave extensions - a first review

1. Maps

Create a new reply or new wave, and from the icons above the message
or via the add...-icon (..) on small screens, choose the icon
displaying maps "Add Map Gadget".

By default, the map locates your current IP and shows it's traced
route on Google Maps. Of course you can search
by address and change the map accordingly. Also shows links for
directions.

2. Yes/No/Maybe

Simple but smart. Shows poll with an icon of each voter.

This is great for companies who use Google Wave as a business tool. To
know anyone's point of view, just look. Expect many more of this kind
of gadgets. Google needs the Businesses to join. Google Wave could be
it - a combination of intranet, newsgroup, email, chatting and
multimedia.

3. Add Gadget by URL

Just like in iGoogle and in Gmail - add an extension by it's URL.
Great for add-ons. Google Wave should be compatible with gadgets
already existing out there. Like Twitter, Hyves, Facebook, you-name-
it.

4. Google Search

Does not save a Google Search. But it does give an option to save a
found search result. Quick navigation to Google / Images / Video
(thank you!!) / More (unimplemented).

5. Attachment

You can upload files and attach them.

I tested a binary (.exe) which gave no complaints. Uploading 1 big,
one small .exe did - in a funny way:
" This wave is experiencing some slight turbulence, and may explode.
If you don't wanna explode, please re-open the wave. Some recent
changes may not be saved. "

From Google's Help files...
" You can attach files up to 20 megabytes in size. All photos you
upload will be downsampled -- downsampling is the process of making a
digital image smaller by removing pixels. Waves containing large files
tend to load more slowly, so we've implemented this process in an
effort to keep Google Wave nice and speedy.

If you're interested in uploading high-resolution images to the web,
you might be interested in Picasa Web Albums. Picasa Web Albums is
Google's fast and easy photo sharing option that lets you easily
publish your photos to the web. "

Peace!
