You are invited to beta test my latest and long overdue release of Google Voice Locations v 1.0.
To install and use this software you need
1) An Android Phone
3) Enable.....Settings -> Applications -> Unknown Sources.....on your phone
This is Free Open Source Software. The GPL 3 Open Source Code for this application is already available at
The old version has been on the market for 2 years
Feel free to share this with anyone.
Honest feedback, positive and negative, and bug reports are very welcome. I plan to polish it a bit more and do a website and press release before going public. I want to know the difficulties you encounter.
I am not giving any instructions. I hope it will be intuitive. If not, tell me.
What the hell does this software do?
1) Dial and make calls from any phone tied to your Google Voice Account using Callback
eg. use your Android to initiate a landline call to someone through Google Voice
eg. Ringback your Android to take advantage of some carriers' unlimited calling to 5 or 10 numbers (in reality, call everyone)
2) Instantly set which of your phones should ring NOW if your Google Voice number is called
3) Set location based ring preferences so your home or work phones only ring when you are there, automatically. In other words, share phones, but avoid call interception.
Do not feel obligated in any way to use this; but if you do, I hope you find it useful!
Best,
Joseph Malone
