Google chart data table to Excel

I need to export a google table to excel.

I know the toolbar - https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/toolbar

But the toolbar does not support export to excel - it does support to .CSV 

Is there any way a google table can be exported to excel?

The closest thing I can think of is uploading to a Google Spreadsheet and converting to Excel from there.

Excel can read CSV's just fine.
