I am using the gstatic charts in my application for demo purpose ("http://www.gstatic.com/charts/loader.js").

However, I would like to know is the use of this API is free or do I need to purchase the license of for this?

This is how I understand the agreements work:

There is no license requirement for the API at all, not for commercial, non-profit or private use.

It is free to use, but not open source.

You cannot try and download the libraries to run them from your own servers, you have to link to the Google API.
