spinner or loading indicator while loading data in google treemap

Hi,

 Suppose, I have a treemap which shows the states within a country with their population. Initially, while the data is being loaded, I am able to show a spinner or loading indicator. When the data is loaded, I would like to present to the user a choice of looking at a treemap with "top xxx number of states" and "bottom xxx number of states". When a user selects a number and clicks on the submit button, I would like that the spinner is shown once more before the treemap is loaded.

How can I achieve this? Please advise.
