Org Chart limits

I have an org chart with about 300 people and it works fine in Chrome and Firefox, but unfortunately it errors out in Internet Explorer with the following and does not display anything:

SCRIPT380: Invalid property value.

format+en,default+en,ui+en,orgchart+en.I.js, line 1322 character 214

It seems to error out when I add the 149th person, regardless of who it is.  Does this make sense?  Am I missing something or do I really need to detect the browser and create smaller org charts for Internet Explorer?

Org charta are built using nested tables, and Internet explorer cannot have more than x number of columns in a table. I'm not sure about the exact number, but around 1500 i think.

As far as I know there is no workaround for this - other than using another browser.
