Google Sheets Chart not pulling in values to tooltip when aggregating

I'm working on a html dashboard for a client, working with monthly data for the year.

When I aggregate so that only Jan-Jul show, the value isn't showing on the tooltip. If I untick aggregate so Jan-Dec show, the values pull through.

Just wondered if there is any fix/workaround for this?

How is your aggregation being done?  

The tooltip should be displaying the formatted representation of the value, if you provide it.  If you specify an empty string or a null value, it ought to leave that value out, and perhaps not show a tooltip at all.  If you specify a string with whitespace, it won't know the difference and will display that.
