Combining google.visualization.ChartRangeFilter and area charts

Is it possible to combine the ChartRangeFilter with Area Charts
and all their API features like series, interactivity, annotations etc?

Absolutely.  The only requirement is the you use a Continuous domain axis type (domain column type 'number' or 'date').

Are there any examples with fully fledged Area (or similar) charts integrated
with the Range Filter? Progress is slow in integrating my
existing complex Area chart with the example at
http://code.google.com/apis/ajax/playground/#chartrangefilter_control
