I have a page with several visualizations including two gauges. Every time I update the data and draw a new gauge, the gauges shrink by 4 pixels in each direction until they eventually vanish, and on the subsequent update, it goes back to the original size and starts again. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Set the dimensions of the gauge in the gauge options (height, width).  This should fix the problem.

Unfortunately, it needs to adapt to the page size….

Do you have height/width set in CSS on the container div (even if it is in percents)?

The odd thing is that it’s been working without issue up until very recently. It’s more of an amusing glitch than anything else. “The Incredible Shrinking Gauge!"

Do you have an example page I can test?

I am having the same issue.  You can see it happening on this page:http://xmountwashington.appspot.com/csc.html?refresh=true on the gauge chart in the middle of the page.  Sorry, it's a little convoluted, but basically every time the data is refreshed and the gauge is redrawn (every one minute), it shrinks a tiny bit.  This adds up until it gets so small it disappears, then reappears after a certain amount of time, just to start the cycle over again.  I set the height to 100%, and one of its parents has a set vh height.  I'm using IE and Windows 7.

Thanks,
Mike

It looks as though the size of the gauge is dependent on the height of the <tr> that it is inside of. The <tr> is what is shrinking with the refresh. Look through your csc.html?refresh=true file. I suspect that the issue is there.

Hi Mike and Malik,

The latest candidate release, which you can get if you load "1.1", includes a fix for this problem with the shrinking Gauge chart.  It would be great if you could try it now to see whether it works for you.
