Chart columns changing color based on sort order, want them to stay the same

 I am wondering if you can help me with google charts for this same spreadsheet.  I am working for a school and trying to make this spreadsheet generate column and pie charts that automatically update based on form responses submitted by the students.  The chart columns and pie pieces need to be color coded based on the answer that is selected by the student.  Unfortunately, I ran into a problem.  I selected the color for each series but if I sort the data it changes the order of the columns and colors.  Also, it changes the color of the columns if no students select one of the 4 answer options (ex. No student selects option 1, so all the colors are off by one).  I am also generating charts based on two different form questions, so if one column is sorted correctly it can mess up the sorting in the other column. 

Basically, I need the column chart and pie chart to always have these colors corresponding to the answer selected.  This is how I need it to stay:

Does anyone know a work around for this?
