This is not supported.  You can make a feature request to add this capability here (search first to make sure is hasn't already been suggested; if it has, you can "star" the issue to get notified of updates).

There is nothing you can do right now to make this work with the tooltips in the API.  If there is an alternative way to display the tooltip data that would work for you, you could build that display in HTML and pull data from the DataTable to populate it.
