The example javascript "Column Chart" visualization in the
Visualization Gallery does not display when the HTML file containing
the visualization code is hosted on a web server located behind a
proxy server. I think the visualization is being blocked by the Proxy
Server. If so, is there a way to resolve this problem using
javascript?

Note: The example "Column Chart" visualization works fine when a
proxy server is not on the network.

Can someone please provide an example visualization using javascript
code that routes through a proxy server?

I know that the Google Code site provides an example using both Java
and .NET, but I am looking for a javascript example.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

The Google Visualization API should work behind proxy servers as long as the proxy server allows the requests fetching http://www.google.com/jsapi and further requests for javascript code from Google's servers to pass freely, and doesn't do any caching of uncacheable requests.

Does anyone else have problems with working behind proxy servers?

Perhaps your proxy is simply misconfigured?

VizBoy,

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I have no control over the
proxy server configuration. My Google Visualization application
resides in a secure "locked-down" environment. Although I can not
change the proxy server configuration, I can do some investigation to
determine what the configuration is and if it is affecting my
application.

Thanks again.

I've found that Web-based proxies based on Glybe, PHProxy & Zelune break Google Visualization, at least for my site. That's at least 99% of all web-based proxy services. But I found two web-based proxies which are not based on those platforms, and do not break Google Visualization:

Those two are gone, now, but I found this one which works:
