Anyway to add point value to column chart instead of showing value in tool tip?

Instead of displaying tool tip for the value for a column I'd like to show the value in the column itself. This seems to work better when one displays the chart on a touch device. Is this possible?

Sorry, there is no support for this in the API.

Did you figure this out? I also prefer to add values next to the bar instead of tooltip... wonder how google could have missed this since its a very standard practice!
