Bubble chart: Log scale for both X and Y?

I've got a bubble chart with a Log scale on the Y axis.  It works great!

I'd like to have a log scale on the X axis as well, because it is a time axis, and "things that happened more recently require more space than stuff that happened a long time ago"

Anyone have any suggestions?  Worst case I could do some manual log scaling, but I'm hoping to avoid that.
