charting data type timeofday

i would like to chart workout data ie:

Date Done.....Total time (seconds,formatted as timeofday).
1/1/2010.........250 seconds shown as 0:04:10.0

When i attempt to chart either date or timeofday data it flatlines -
example seen here:

Is it possible to chart "timeofday" values?

you can try to use  formatter (http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/reference.html#dateformatter),

but there isn't another way now.

The workaround for me was to create a cloned view that appended the
initial data set with a numeric "seconds" value.

I then displayed the initial table using timeofday formatting - but
used the view to drive the chart.
