Quick note to mention a known issue in gadgets which are meant to be
inserted into a spreadsheet..

If you have any UserPrefs in your gadget with the attribute
required="true", they might not render properly on the spreadsheet.
The only UserPref for which the required="true" works properly is the
"_table_query_url" UserPref, which is the one which allows users to
select the range in the spreadsheet for processing in the gadget.
We'll get this fixed as soon as possible.

I am sorry to remind this -- perhaps obsoleted? -- issue.

I have tried to write an experimental gadgets in spreadsheets and it seems the behavior is still same as described 4 years ago. There is only "_table_query_url" field shown in the preferences dialog, ignoring all <UserPref> tags.
Is there any way how the user can select more than one range (and/or another prefs) during the gadget startup?
