I don't mean to be a pain in the butt, but did Google Dev'ps turn down the smartness mode on the charts? Every help topic I've seen clearly shows you can add log scale in the customization area but there IS NO SUCH option anywhere. Everything also seems to be about looks and yet it's all greyed out. I mean, are we protecting people from selecting buttons... what's the deal? Why is it everything is now a drop down menu with so few useful options? Was something changed since 2013?

You know you can do this in about like 10 seconds in Excel, I mean how hard is it to not get rid of simple, useful options? I'm sorry to be salty but I've seen Google do this for the last 6 years and it's a crap thing to keep seeing. Everytime a good feature is there for use it's removed. I mean... what's the point in using Google Spreadsheets if we're going to remove useful functions and options?

This is a semi rant semi query but to be honest I'll be opening OPEN OFFICE to do this as it'll take soooo much less time to find the check mark.

To compare here's what the internet says...
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6817530/axis-scale-in-google-charts-from-google-spreadsheets
https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/customizing_axes#Discrete_vs_Continuous

And no that's not at all... not even remotely... an option.

In other words, I've lost 30 minutes and it's just aggravating as hell.
