We have pushed a new release to production.
The new release introduces many new features, including:
Transition animation.
- New visual effects for focus and selection of chart elements in scatter, line, area, and other charts.
- New column role feature, enabling annotations, error bars and many other features in the core chart types.
- Marker mode in Geochart.
- New chart: Stepped Area.
- New UI for ChartEditor, currently available only in version 1.1. In the next release it will be available in all of the versions.

For a complete list of the features, see the release notes.

REMINDER: In the next release (about 1 month from now) we'll change the default value of the "strictFirstColumnType" option to "true", as explained in the group and in the documentation. You are strongly encouraged to test your code with the “strictFirstColumnType” option set to “true”.

Enjoy,
The Google Chart Tools team

Very nice.... I saw that you added some additional new features, not mentioned in the RC version.
I know that the marker mode in the GeoChart will be really useful, as for the new stepped chart and the annotations.

Keep up the good work guys,

I like the new animations - I'm incorporating them into a project right away.  Awesome job guys!

For clarification, I noticed that Bar and Column charts don't support animations for adding/removing columns, but Combo charts do - I presume that Combo chart with bars will not support the animations (or not support them fully), is this the case?

Looking at the docs, they're probably wrong - Bar and Column charts do (kind-a) support animations for adding/removing columns. I'll fix the documentation.
