Printing a Timeline chart

Timelines don't use getImageURI() so the instructions for printing this type chart don't work. The timeline is large and has vertical scrolling because of it's size. I've tried printing the <DIV> using a jquery approach - no luck. I've constructed the timeline using Canvas example someone posted - no luck there either.

Does anyone have another method for printing a Timeline they could suggest?
