What would you like to see us add to this API?
I would like to have an option to force the text of the bar labels to stay
inside the bar.


What component is this issue related to (PieChart, LineChart, DataTable,
Query, etc)?

Turns out this is already an option. Please use the
timeline.forceBarLabelInside option.
