I am interested in learning more about adding closed captions to the
videos I create. I am also interested in adding video description
caption to videos. Thank you for your answers!

Hi,

Anyone can add closed captions and video description to videos on
YouTube. However, you must be the owner of the video (or working with
the owner of the video) to add captions.

This page should help you get started:

For description, you may need to use timecodes to ensure that the
descriptive text appears at the exact time that you want it. For
captions, though, you should be able to just synchronize a transcript
using the new auto-timing feature.

That new auto timing feature works better then a 62 VW going up a hill
on a hot day! I used the auto timing feature today and it was almost
perfect. I had to move a couple words a few seconds, but what a nice
feature as the reward was a finished video with caption which took
minimal work. :)

As far as the 62 bug, I never mind that slow ride up the hill, as the
reward is going down the other side.....
