translating text on slides

Hello.

If i recall correctly, this is right place for discussing translation
issues, is it?

So here is one:
many presentations contain slides demonstrated, and those slides
contain text, that must be translated.
and somehow put into translated video.
in the way of subtitles it will appear very ugly.

In offline there is ASS/SSA subtitles format with ability to text
positioning, using inline code {\pos(x,y)}.

YouTube supports annotations to be placed anywhere on screen.
It does not, however, supports utf input for the annotaions,
neither there is a way to export/import these captions,
neither selecting annotations from available languages.

So, there's a question - how to deal with translated text for slides
showing on screen ?
