Windows Live ID Blocking Gmail

I know this is a problem with others, having Googled it. I think it is
an abuse by Microsoft and want to find a way to report it as such.
They have no business reaching into my other email accounts. I didn't
even want to install the Live ID thing, but some of my other Microsoft
programs were balking. I don't do instant messaging. I have now
exchanged 5 notes with various parts of Microsoft and keep getting a
run-around. The latest "go here" note sent me back to where I started.
It also told me that it was Gmail's problem. I know better. I would
think that Google would be outraged. I would appreciate advice about
how to address the problem. I do not want to do a workaround in my
computer (e.g., reconfiguring the Gmail domain name). It is
Microsoft's problem. They should be responsible for it. Has anyone
tried stripping the Microsoft Live ID stuff out?
