Yes in deed, something is seriously messed up and only getting worse.

That most recent rock that has been around our sun for quite some time
but only recently detected, was simply another sneak attack that our
best fly-by-rocket technology couldn't have saved us from even if
they'd tried because, there simply was not enough time in order to
prepare and react in any sufficiently defensive way. In other words,
had that been a nastier rock of heavy elements and its encounter at
something less than 1r, at least some of us would have been summarily
nailed or at least severely traumatized.

I recently noticed the newest Popular Science publication has a number
of articles based almost entirely upon our Usenet/newsgroup topics and
replies. So it's kinda obvious that what we post as topics and
replies has been having a public media impact, and no doubt making the
likes of even Google NOVA plus other mainstream media very unhappy.

Because our Google Groups version of Usenet is currently dysfunctional
by not updating, you may have to reply to this topic by using my
Google-Usenet version that’s public and still fully operational.
