Hi there,

Just wondering what's happened to development on TsumuFS? The design is almost exactly what I concluded I needed to solve my problems of storing photos/music/source code/build directories, and had decided to write something similar myself  before I discovered TsumuFS!

I've cloned the repo and given it a go but things don't seem to currently work out of the box, and things seem extremely quiet! Just wondering what the status is and if development ceased for any technical reasons, or for the ubiquitous "real life got in the way" kind of reasons? :)

Many thanks!

Hi,

We have had no news from the initiator of the project, June Tate at Google, for a while.

We have forked the project 3 year ago, and improved it, but in very specific way. The main idea was to add a CouchDB (NoSQL) layer to minimize calls on the filesystem, and improve search features. Also, this fork is strongly dependent of our own libraries, and could be not so easy to use and deploy.

This fork is actually not maintained for financial reasons, you could find the code on github:

Peraps it could be usefull for you.
The state of the original project is the same than before our fork, and effectively don't work out of the box, contains many bugs and unachieved features.

Regards,

Kevin Pouget
