I have been using the translate API for several years but a couple of days ago it stopped working. I have tried multiple times but I get the same message over and over:
"The API cannot be validated by Google"

I have found the same question online but with no real solution. Can anybody help? I have the translate API enabled, I have my billing account enabled but I cannot figure out why it has suddenly stopped working.

Thanks,

Bart

Hi Bart,

You're getting the error where exactly? In your deployed application, when you try to run a dev_server from Trados, or somewhere else?

If you're getting the error once deployed, do you mind showing the request Trados is sending up? Maybe it's just the URL is still using the older V1 format?

Cheers

Hi Patrice,

I get the error in Trados when I start a new project. Normally, Trados loads the API automatically, but recently it asked me to re-enter it.
I've made a printscreen that I've added to this message.

Kind regards,

Bart

Hi Bart,

I don't really work with Tradeos to be fair, but looking into the issue you're getting, I'd just make sure you're using a key that is still valid and working. If you still are and you're getting that error from Tradeos, I'd look into filing an issue with them, because there needs to be a change on their part to make this work.

I know of nothing that would've broke that link between the translate API and Tradeos.

Maybe someone else who's hanging on this group knows the solution.

Cheers!
