Are there alternatives to Transliterate API?

Since the Tansliterate API has been deprecated by Google, are there any other alternatives to this? And is it possible to use Google Translate API in order to achieve the same task? Specifically I am looking for transliteration to Greek (example: 'kali mera' -> 'καλή μέρα')

Hello Aleks,

The features of Google Translate API currently doesn't include transliteration.

My brief research didn't result in finding any alternative transliteration services offered through an API. However, the people from this community might still be able to help you find one.

In the meantime, depending on the language of your application, using a transliterator like this one (it's in Python) can be of help.

You could use the Python lib suggested by Zeehad.

If you're looking for something with better accuracy and willing to train it yourself, you could use deepchar - deepchar.github.io.
