Support for transliteration of Roman Hindi

I found that if I set source to 'en' and target to 'hi' and write something in Roman Hindi I get transliteration, but...

...if I entered an English word it's translated instead.

Is there a way to force transliteration, without an attempt to translate, to avoid mix-ups? I didn't find any query parameter for this.

Different people write Roman Hindi differently. Do you provide often used alternatives for what the user can write in Roman Hindi to get a proper transliteration to Hindi.
