Asking for API of Pinyin Romanization of Chinese

Hi,

Google Translate web provides this function, like https://translate.google.com/#zh-CN/en/%E4%BB%8A%E5%A4%A9%E6%88%91%E4%BB%AC%E9%83%BD%E6%98%AF%E4%B8%AD%E5%9B%BD%E4%BA%BA

It converts "今天我们都是中国人" to "Today we are all Chinese", and you also can get "Jīntiān wǒmen dōu shì zhōngguó rén" under the text edit for source.

But I didn't find this function in Google Cloud Translate API, could you help me? Or any else google service can achieve it? Thanks in advance.

Chinese characters and Pinyin romanization are different writing systems or scripts for Chinese. The conversion between them can be considered as translation in some meaning.

Google Translate and Google Cloud Translation API are two different products with similar functionalities. It seems the above is a very good feature for the Cloud Translation API. You can file the feature request here as discussed in this article.

There is an issue in the public tracker that covers the same request. You may choose to follow the issue for developments, till the eventual feature implementation.
