Inside Google Translate, it uses a translation algorithm that is based on language pattern matching, termed Statistical Machine Translation. We scan the Web for billions of already translated texts and use machine learning to identify statistical patterns at enormous scale, so our machines can "learn" the language. We also rely on people like you in
Translate Community to help improve current Google Translate languages and add new ones.
You can see how accuracy may vary due to these factors. Depending on your requirement, I suggest you to test out several translations using Google Translate and decide whether you'll need to have the translations checked by human translator.
