Hi,

I am subscribed and planning to use the Cloud Translation APIs in my commercial App:

Currently with the translate/v2 endpoint, I just receive the translation only.

I was wondering how I can get the results like definition, synonym, examples,... which are now delivered by google.translate.com service when I search for a Word?

Any thoughts is appreciated.

Thank you
Samira.

Hello Samira,

Unfortunately, this feature currently does not exist within Cloud Translation API, however, the engineering team are aware of this request and are investigating implementations. A Public Issue [1] already exists, as such, please refer to it for further updates.

Hi Gurkomal,

Thank you for the reply. I checked the other thread and the request ages back to 5 years ago. Is the team still investigating? Can you please clarify this if this is in the plan or not? This should Not be really a complex task.

This is a simple feature, which many will subscribe to utilize it in their commercial Apps, which of course Google benefits as well. I am wondering why Google does not put priority to this. For me, if the feature is not available, I would proceed with Oxford dictionary subscription.

I appreciate your considerations. Kindly let me know.

Thank you.
